The three divine beasts—Courage Dragon, Love Dragon, and Glory Dragon—spiraled through the air with inexplicably exhilarated roars, converging around his right foot. Just as the energy-wreathed Love Dragon God Strike was about to hit Sentai Killer squarely in his exposed chest, Ash suddenly swayed his foot and redirected the target past his shoulder.
"!?"
The excess power flew skyward from his shoulder and exploded into brilliant fireworks. Sentai Killer, who had been kicked onto the ground, had much of the damage removed by that last-second change. Yet instead of mocking his opponent's stupidity, he lay there clutching his shoulder, his eyes filled with disbelief.
"Why did you know?"
The ability to draw opponents into the labyrinth within his body through the buckle on his chest would also release them if that buckle was destroyed. At least, that was how the original Ryusoulgers had been saved. Because of that precedent, Sentai Killer had deliberately continued using the chest buckle to absorb opponents as a smokescreen, while hiding the actual labyrinth inside an inconspicuous ornament on his right shoulder.
Even if that finishing move had landed earlier, it would not have been enough to kill him in one strike. As long as he could not destroy the Precure along with himself, Sentai Killer had been utterly confident that he could defeat Ash. But why? He had not exposed any weakness. How had Ash known where the real labyrinth was?
"What's wrong? Didn't you hear them? Are your ears bad?"
Hear them? What could there possibly be to hear—no, I can't hold it anymore!
Cracks spread across his right shoulder before finally exploding completely!
