This virtual Hidden Leaf Village, constructed from their minds, had been battered into ruins by the two of them.
The streets, houses, and shops had all been completely destroyed. Fierce flames and billowing smoke rose from the shattered walls and rubble.
Naruto knelt on one knee, panting heavily. His orange coat had been torn in several places, his face was covered in wounds, and sweat ran down his cheeks.
He laboriously raised his head. Across from him, the darkened boy who looked exactly like him was staring blankly at him.
Darkened Naruto also possessed the power of a Tailed Beast. He could even transform into the complete nine-tailed Jinchuriki form. However, the chakra enveloping him was layer upon layer of pitch-black chakra, making him look like an evil spirit against the backdrop of the ruins.
Naruto, meanwhile, only had the half-Tailed Beast transformation with six tails, putting him at a tremendous disadvantage in terms of strength.
But after fighting again and again, Naruto discovered that even in his nine-tailed form, the other him was not that much stronger than he was.
Whether it was his Shadow Clone Technique or his Rasengan, both could inflict a certain amount of damage on the other side. The gap between them had not yet become an insurmountable chasm.
"Give up! Our powers share the same origin, and I understand humanity's evil better than anyone. I'm the personality most compatible with the Nine-Tails!" Nine black fox tails drifted behind Darkened Naruto as he roared at Naruto. "There's no way you can defeat me!"
Then Darkened Naruto swung a fist wrapped in black chakra.
Naruto met him head-on, smashing his own fist, wrapped in pale red Tailed Beast chakra, against it.
Boom!
The collision of their fists erupted with a deafening roar.
