All the surrounding nobles were terrified. No matter how lofty their status, none dared act presumptuously before this murderous female maniac. As they watched the beautiful woman approach in a captain's haori, a Zanpakuto hanging at her waist and an icy expression on her face, the members at her side wore vicious looks. A bolder noble braced himself and stepped forward, asking humbly, "Captain Unohana, what brings you here? Is there something inappropriate about this banquet hall?"
Unohana cast him a cold glance. "Am I not allowed to attend this gathering?"
Everyone around them breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Unohana Yachiru arrive in such a formation, they had thought she had come to wreck the place, and quite a few had been scared enough to consider slipping away. Now that they saw Unohana Yachiru was also here for the banquet, they finally relaxed. At the same time, however, they were incomparably astonished. "Oh dear, oh dear! What a headache!" Kyoraku Shunsui dealt with the people surrounding him, then stole a moment to turn and smile helplessly at Jushiro Ukitake. "Why is everyone so eager to come here tonight?"
Jushiro Ukitake laughed heartily. "Perhaps they want to see that fellow who has been making such a name for himself lately?"
