The Shinigami serving as the Sixth Seat looked utterly haggard. Though the battles of the past two months had often brought them into peril and desperate struggles, they had always supported one another with unwavering resolve and an unyielding spirit, enduring the hardest times.
But this sudden tide of Hollows came wave after wave—sometimes after half a day, sometimes every other day. Now, two waves of Hollows from Hueco Mundo had invaded the World of the Living within half an hour. Dozens of Hollows surged toward them, and the Shinigami squad, already exhausted from continuous fighting, was immediately driven into a desperate situation. Casualties began to pile up.
"Request support from nearby squads!" The Sixth Seat's hand gripping his Zanpakuto was so sore and exhausted that he could barely lift it. Three comrades had fallen in succession, many more were injured, and fewer than five people still had the strength to fight. He could only call for reinforcements.
After swinging his Zanpakuto and desperately cutting back an approaching Hollow, a Shinigami rushed to the Sixth Seat's side. "Sir, all the Hell Butterflies have been destroyed. We've lost contact with the others."
The Sixth Seat flew into a rage. "Don't you know Kido? Can you use Binding Arts Seventy-Seven, Tenteikūra or not?"
The squad member looked at the seated officer in despair. "Sir, I can't use Kido of that level. I'm only an ordinary Shinigami. I haven't even completed my Zanpakuto's Shikai. How could I possibly use such high-level Kido?"
