In a large-scale pursuit, not everyone could notice the traps. Even if you spotted one, you might not have time to warn your companions before someone stepped on it—and then everyone suffered together.
"Send the wounded back!!"
They came across several unlucky Sunagakure shinobi who had stepped on traps. They had not been killed, but they were badly wounded and lay on the ground wailing in pain.
Ronglin shook his head and beckoned for someone to send the wounded back.
"Is it really appropriate for us to do this?"
Ay tore off the strips of cloth hanging from his body, leaving his upper body bare. Other than the initial charge and battle, Konoha and Kumogakure had been hanging back and advancing slowly. While this had reduced casualties, Ōnoki and Rasa might object in the end.
We're charging and fighting up front, while you're strolling along in the rear like old men taking a walk?
"What's inappropriate about it? Don't the wounded and the supplies abandoned by the enemy need to be dealt with?"
Ronglin glanced back at Ay indifferently and tidied himself up a little.
Ay no longer looked quite so ridiculous. At least he now resembled a normal person; his previous bedraggled appearance had been enough to make anyone laugh themselves to death.
"..." Ay's mouth twitched, and he did not know how to respond.
Ronglin continued, "If you want to charge ahead, then go. I'm not stopping you."

Ay made a decision: in the future, he would never ask Ronglin such troublesome questions at times like this, lest he be left choking on his own anger.
