As July approaches, the days become cloudless and scorching hot, making you want to take a few pints of ice-cold Pumpkin Juice and stroll to Diagon Alley. Maybe even a raspberry chocolate ice cream, Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour's ice cream is always delicious.
It was on this day at the end of June, an ordinary and unusual day, that a store that had never had any publicity opened.
The store manager is male witch who looks handsome but a little worried. If there are students of Hogwarts here, they will recognize that this is Professor Quirrell who resisted the evil dark wizard and succeeded.
Everyone is saying that he was injured by a dark wizard and was cursed. He will never be able to return to Hogwarts and be Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor in this life.
This made some students who had laughed at Professor Quirrell blush, so when they applauded Professor Quirrell on End-of-Year Feast, they made the loudest noise.
Early morning.
Diagon Alley is still shrouded in a thin mist, the Trick Shop store is still full of long queues, but there is no wizard in front of the Fairy Tale Workshop store.
In a few minutes, it will be eight o'clock, opening time.
Looking at this, Quirrell even doubts whether these fifty copies can be sold.
Even so, their prices are still high, with the cheapest ones costing several hundred Gold Galleons.
It seems that there is no consideration at all whether anyone will buy it.
Professor Quirrell understood that this might be some kind of powerful alchemical creation, but he really couldn't figure out why the biscuits had such a high value?
Just like when the first mobile phone appeared, no one knew how valuable this small black box could be.
There are no wizards queuing up at the gate of Fairy Tale Workshop, but outside Britain. Alchemy Masters' entry applications have been filled up Ministry of Magic.
Some Alchemy teachers even said bluntly:
"Whether Ministry of Magic agrees or not, we will arrive at Britain Diagon Alley at eight o'clock this morning."
The door of Fairy Tale Workshop's shop was filled up in an instant, and wizards with different characteristics arrived at the door of the shop at eight o'clock.
Quirrell I have never seen anything like this - these wizards seemed to appear out of thin air.
He didn't even know which country these wizards were from: some of them wore silk robes and were sharp and capable; some wore headdresses made of feathers and expensive leather clothes; some were simply Black Panther, nimbly grabbing the front seat.
But without exception, they all know Professor Terra who is in charge.
"Master Terra..."
"I'm so glad to see you, Master Teda. The weather is beautiful, isn't it..."
"You really picked up a good treasure, Terra."
They said hello and then looked eagerly at the window.
"Seize Fantastic Beasts's magical power, a miraculous alchemy technique, let me see--"
The Hispanic wizard snapped his fingers, and a series of Fairy Tale Biscuits floated into her hand.
"Wagadu's Human Transfiguration has come to an end, but there is always something waiting for the vast Magical World... ten copies each!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the wizards around her glared at her:
"Do you think the Alchemy master here can't afford the price? I advise you to calm down. Miss, if you didn't miss the notice on the entrance board, you should know that each person is limited to two copies."
A male witch wearing a black robe said.
Everyone glanced at her coldly, and then began to choose two suitable portions from the four kinds of biscuits.
For most of the wizards present, the research significance of these biscuits is greater than their use, so the choice must be extremely careful.
Professor Quirrell's brain was shocked by a series of events and before he could react, he saw a group of wizards wearing Ministry of Magic's standard clothes coming in.
They are the wizards of British Department for the Enforcement of Magical Law. The subordinate offices of this department include - Auror Office, Department for the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts, the counterfeit defense spells and protective equipment detection and collection office, Office for the Prohibition of Misuse of Magic, Wizengamot Administration, etc.
It is the largest department of British Ministry of Magic.
At this time, they were looking eager and anxious. British Ministry of Magic spent a lot of effort to stop the entry applications of Ministry of Magic employees from other countries. This means that Fawley who can come here can almost be called a local wizard.
Mr. Weasley, a man with golden and red hair, is among them - he is the supervisor of Department for the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts.
Just this morning, he got the big news--
The alchemy workshop that is revered as the most talented wizard in the alchemy world in the past six hundred years and the winner of the Udala International Alchemy Convention pioneering gold medal will be opened in Diagon Alley.
All departments of Ministry of Magic struggled to apply to represent Ministry of Magic, but in the end the qualification was won by British Department for the Enforcement of Magical Law. As mentioned before, it is the largest department of Ministry of Magic.
"Three thousand Gold Galleons?!"
Mr. Weasley was shocked by the price as soon as he entered it.
This is almost as much as his salary in two or three years.
He grimaced, the funds allocated by Ministry of Magic were simply not enough, those cheaper categories had been bought out, and the funds in his hands now were simply not enough to support him in completing the tasks assigned by British Ministry of Magic.
The other side of the store.
Alchemy teachers are extremely heroic.
"I'd pay three times the price for another one."
The wizard from Wagadu came to Quirrell. He was still dizzy at this time - ten minutes after opening the store, half of the biscuits were sold out.
"Rules are rules."
Quirrell came back to his senses and firmly refused,
"The store will be updated on the seventh of every month, miss."
This is also the notice written on the entrance door panel.
"..."
The wizard from Wagadu was silent for a while. After seeing Wagadu's strongest Alchemy master Terra sitting in command, he sighed helplessly.
"Damn Terra, I won't sell more than one copy..."
She muttered.
Fairy Tale Workshop is a noisy place, which is not much worse than Trick Shop next door.
And more importantly, the purchasing power of wizards in Fairy Tale Workshop is truly powerful, and several thousand Gold Galleons is more like a number to them.
Spend money without blinking an eye.
The biscuit introduction under each Glass Cabinet perfectly explains the reason for all this:
"The Fairy Tale Biscuits series provides the ability to transform wizards into real Fantastic Beasts: currently there are only Thestral, Bowtruckle, Hippogriff, and Little Fire Dragon."
Seeing this introduction, Professor Quirrell himself was extremely excited.
He immediately set his sights on Mr. Green, who was quietly practicing magic in the store compartment.
He completely understood that Daily Prophet's report was not wrong at all, and so were his fleeting thoughts.
... He is really stupid to have doubts.
Fairy Tale Workshop's biscuits are decreasing at a speed visible to the naked eye, and Mr. Weasley is so anxious that he is sweating:
"Not enough money - too expensive -"
His murmur was drowned in more voices.
Fairy Tale Workshop The wizards outside were a little curious when they saw this strangely packed store. Some people wanted to squeeze in to see what was going on, but they were squeezed away by a group of reporters holding cameras.
They wanted to come in without any explanation, but Quirrell blocked the door.
"Reporting not allowed."
"We are from <Daily Prophet>, sir!"
The wizard at the front said.
"<Witch Weekly>, sir, the witches can't wait to get to know this young master."
A young witch's face was full of expectation.
I heard that this master is extremely young and handsome...
"Mr. Agent, <Today's Transfiguration> I hope you can give us thirty minutes, no, just ten minutes."
The scholarly wizard was the last to speak.
But no matter how they explained it, Quirrell didn't put a wizard in it in the end.
There was a quarrel in front of the store, but things weren't much better inside.
Compared with other wizards who asked Master Terra for more shares, Mr. Weasley was still embarrassed to say it when he wanted to ask for a lower price.
Sean was originally learning Professor Dumbledore's experience on Cross-Species Transfiguration, but overheard Mr. Weasley's complaints.
After roughly understanding what was going on, he walked out of the cubicle.
"Mr. Weasley."
He said hello.
"Green, I'm so glad to see you here - are you here to study?"
Mr. Weasley put aside his anxiety now. No matter how anxious he was, he would probably not be able to complete the task.
It's just criticism. Ministry of Magic shouldn't fire him because of this... right?
An annoying face appeared in his mind unconsciously - Lucius Malfoy. He was always good at making a fuss over these little things.
"I'll take a look, sir."
Sean explained.
This is his alchemy workshop.
Although Professor Terra personally sat in charge and asked him to retreat behind the scenes to avoid the sorcerers' deceptive words, he still had to watch silently here.
"Watching?"
Mr. Weasley didn't quite understand, but he didn't ask any more questions, but continued to cast his sad eyes on the product.
"Fifteen hundred Gold Galleons, buying the cheapest Bowtruckle series with seven hundred Gold Galleons is enough, but now the lowest Hippogriff also requires one thousand Gold Galleons, I can't make up for it..."
Mr. Weasley murmured to himself.
He couldn't help but walked to the front of the Bowtruckle series. The place had long been sold out, even before they came in.
He could explain the reason, but those officials at Ministry of Magic might not listen.
When he was stunned, he suddenly heard a voice:
"Sir, there seems to be more."
"Ah, Green, how could..."
He smiled bitterly and suddenly discovered that there was something extra in the Glass Cabinet bag in front of him. When he looked again, he found that it turned out to be two pieces of the Bowtruckle series.
He took down two biscuits at lightning speed, and after paying the bill happily, he suddenly realized that the amount allocated by the Ministry of Magic was one hundred more Galleons.
This made him extremely happy.
But after the excitement, doubts filled his mind. Where did these biscuits come from?
At the right time, Professor Quirrell entered the store with a middle-aged witch.
He caught a glimpse of Sean in a remote corner.
So he ignored Mr. Weasley next to Sean, but said in a careful and respectful tone:
"Mr. Green, this is an exclusive interview with Chocolate Frog Card Committee. They want to collect some information from you."
After he finished speaking, Mr. Weasley felt as if an egg could fit into his mouth.
