Background and History

Xuan Fu survived the initial opening of Chaos by hiding within a Chaos fragment while Pangu's axe light annihilated weaker demon gods. When the gravely wounded Yanhuang Demon God crashed into his refuge, Xuan Fu concealed himself, stripped away a thread of Fire Origin from the dying being, and refined it through Wood Origin and Pangu's Division Dao power. The theft made Yanhuang's remnant soul his enemy and drew the attention of the space-attributed Demon God Kongming. 2 5

While avoiding Kongming, Xuan Fu learned by observing his manipulation of space, refined a Space Origin Chaos Crystal, and began developing a talisman system based on multiple origins. He took Life Origin from an Innate Spiritual Root but protected the root rather than exhausting it, then escaped toward the newly forming Wild Continent. 3 4 5 6

On the Wild Continent, he initially sought secluded cultivation in a valley. His hidden spirit vein attracted Ao Guang, Feng Yao, and Qilin Cang, placing him at the beginning of the Dragon, Phoenix, and Kirin clans' conflict. 7 8

Appearance

Xuan Fu's true body is formed from talisman and rune patterns rather than ordinary flesh. He commonly adopts the appearance of a young green-robed cultivator when dealing with other beings. 2 7

Xuan Fu is cautious, observant, and highly opportunistic. In early Chaos, he survives by hiding from stronger entities, studying Kongming's techniques from afar, taking only a wisp of Life Origin from the Innate Spiritual Root, and exploiting conflicts without recklessly entering them. 3 4 8

He is also remarkably resilient under corruption and pressure. Rather than allowing Malevolent Qi, Annihilation Power, Demonic Contamination, or Void Origin to control him, he repeatedly studies, refines, and incorporates these forces into a broader path of balance. 8 17 22 298
