It was 3:13 a.m. on February 1, 2025.
Whew, the first volume, which was 300,000 characters long and also served as this book's prologue volume, has finally come to an end.
As always, here's the quick version first—
1. I'm taking a day off (though I might update a free extra chapter!).
2. There were many things about Volume One that fell short. Sorry, meow.
3. I'll be updating like crazy in February! I'll write Volume Two better!
4. Please vote for this book at the start of the month!
The quick version ends here—
Now that that's out of the way, let's chat a little.
First, about taking a day off: I'm not taking this day off on a whim, okay?
After finishing the prologue volume, there's a mountain of data, skills, and follow-up systems that need to be carefully organized.
I also still haven't settled on how exactly to write the beginning of Volume Two.
As the saying goes, a good beginning is half the battle. Although I decided on the ending of Volume Two long ago, I still need to carefully consider how to begin it.
Although I wanted to launch straight into a ten-thousand-character-a-day update spree, studying the opening, organizing the outline, and filling in the details all take time.
—Of course, blindly starting Volume Two would work, but a lot of the later content might lose its original quality, just like the final chapters of Volume One.
So, I had no choice but to grit my teeth and take this day off.
Although I'm reasonably satisfied with the final two chapters, the ones before them left me so stuck that I began questioning my life.
Sitting there for eight or even ten hours only to grind out a measly four thousand characters was unbearably painful.
