Akainu Makes His Move

Aokiji lightly tapped his index fingers together.

Two enormous, slender ice spears radiating a chilling aura condensed out of thin air.

Like two arrows loosed from a bow, they shot toward Jozu.

Jozu let out an angry roar. Without dodging, he swung his dazzling diamond arm and smashed the incoming ice spears to pieces.

Ice crystals scattered everywhere, and frigid air spread through the battlefield.

However, Aokiji's attack was not so simple.

The shattered ice-spear fragments and the spreading extreme cold instantly clung to the surface of Jozu's diamond body, forming a layer of ice that continued to spread and thicken.

The biting chill seeped in wildly, trying to freeze him solid.

Akainu frowned. Having his prey stolen twice in a row left him rather displeased.

His gaze locked firmly onto Whitebeard, who was striding toward the execution platform.

"Humph!"

Akainu snorted coldly. Geppo erupted beneath his feet, and his body carved a scorching afterimage through the air.

In an instant, he crossed the chaotic battlefield below and forcefully blocked Whitebeard's path.

"Whitebeard—!! Your era ends here!!"

Akainu's right arm swelled at once, transforming into a massive fist made of searing magma.

"Great Eruption!"

Carrying the destructive force of a volcanic eruption and terrifying heat capable of melting steel, the colossal fist crashed down toward Whitebeard's head.

Whitebeard did not slow his advance in the slightest. He merely raised his right fist, wrapped in a white glow, and swung it straight at the magma fist.

Where his fist pointed, even space itself seemed to let out an overwhelmed groan beneath that pure Vibration Power.

"BOOM—!!!!!"

The deafening explosion shook the entire bay.
