A Genius's Flash of Brilliance

"Hey, Su. Long time no see!"

Just after Su Dong walked out of the away team's dressing room at San Siro Stadium, he ran into Ronaldinho, who had just emerged from the home team's dressing room.

The Brazilian wore his long hair loose beneath a black headband. He looked full of energy, and when he spotted Su Dong, he called out from a distance, flashing his trademark buck teeth.

"Hello, Ronaldinho. Long time no see!"

Su Dong hurried over, shook his hand, then gave his former teammate a hearty hug. The two had fought side by side for three years.

It was rather amusing. Milan, Italy, was actually a little warmer than Munich, yet AC Milan were wearing long-sleeved jerseys tonight, while Bayern had short sleeves. It looked rather strange.

"You've been playing well lately, bro." Su Dong smiled as he walked alongside Ronaldinho.

Ronaldinho grinned and chuckled. "I'm doing all right. I just feel like I should make better use of the time I have left."

That one sentence suddenly reminded Su Dong that Ronaldinho was about to turn thirty.

It was truly a little sad. Ronaldinho's development had fallen far short of outside expectations.

If he had been suppressed by Su Dong during their time at Barcelona, then after Su Dong left, he should have taken up the mantle. But he hadn't. Even after transferring to AC Milan, he still hadn't displayed the level he should have.

And before he knew it, he was nearly thirty. How much longer could he keep playing?

"It's fine. You don't rely on your physical abilities to make a living anyway." Su Dong smiled and comforted him.

Ronaldinho shook his head. "I've wasted too much time."

Su Dong's heart jolted. He wondered whether the Ronaldinho in front of him was a fake.
