In the third round of the Europa League knockout stage, Man City hosted Greece's Aris.
In the seventh minute, Marcelo had just crossed midfield when he looked up toward the center of the attacking third and sent a precise, angled long pass with his left foot, straight behind Aris's defensive line.
A sky-blue figure shot forward like an arrow loosed from a bow, instantly piercing through Aris's defense and catching up with Marcelo's diagonal long pass. After cushioning the ball forward with his chest, he continued dribbling into the penalty area.

The tremendous crash echoed through every corner of the stadium, as if it had pounded directly into the hearts of the Man City supporters, making them even more feverish and excited.
Three minutes later, Su Dong and David Silva combined repeatedly just outside the penalty area. After Su Dong controlled the ball at the top of the arc and dribbled past Aris center-back Michel, he fired powerfully with his left foot and pierced Aris's goal once again.
