The Time-Space Labyrinth's restraints on him had inexplicably weakened considerably, though he had no idea what had happened.
"Was that just my imagination?" Sanders hesitated for a moment, then decided to test it. He flew toward the exit. Though he had faintly glimpsed its light before, he had never been able to approach it. It was like stars glittering in the night sky—seemingly close, yet in truth unimaginably distant.
But now, as Sanders flew forward again, he could clearly feel that he was truly drawing closer to the light.
"It's real! The Time-Space Labyrinth's restraining force has weakened!" Sanders was somewhat startled and bewildered. Nothing had happened, so why had the Time-Space Labyrinth's power weakened?
He stopped.
Something felt wrong. The Time-Space Labyrinth could not possibly collapse for no reason. Some force had to be quietly altering its structure.
Sanders calmed himself and began to sense his surroundings carefully.
Time passed, but Sanders found no clue whatsoever—until a certain moment.
When the reflection above Pamiji Plateau vanished completely and torrential rain came pouring down, Sanders, within the cross-realm passage, suddenly detected a wondrous force passing by his side.
Sanders sensed that force for only an instant, not even a tenth of a second.
Yet within that fleeting instant, Sanders would never forget it for the rest of his life.
What kind of power was this?
A force capable of dismantling the Time-Space Labyrinth was certainly not to be underestimated. Yet the power he sensed was as faint as smoke, so subtle that it would utterly slip away if one failed to pay attention.
It was not even as intense as a breath of wind, a drop of water, or a spark of flame.
Under ordinary circumstances, Sanders would never have noticed it. But now, he discovered something suspicious within it.
