The Bone Crow was a peculiar demonic crow with an exoskeleton. Because the exoskeleton wrapped it up so tightly, making it look like a dead skeletal bird, it was named the Bone Crow.
A lone Bone Crow was not particularly strong; Angel could handle one with ease. But if he charged into that flock of Bone Crows that resembled a black cloud, he would probably be melted down to bare bones in an instant.
At that moment, whooshing sounds rose from below again. Looking down, he saw the carnivorous plants from before burrowing out of the ground one after another, all transforming into sky-climbing Jack Beanstalks. Though they lent a hint of greenery to the barren earth, they also made it all the more terrifying and eerie.
The carnivorous plants growing from the ground were now lashing out with the vines dangling from their stems and leaves. Green shadows flickered like venomous snakes as they attacked Angel.
More and more carnivorous plants emerged from underground, while Bone Crows attacked from the sky.
Wasn't this supposed to be safe? Weren't there supposed to be no powerful Demonic Beasts?!
Individually, neither the carnivorous plants nor the Bone Crows counted as especially powerful Demonic Beasts. But once their numbers reached a certain point, quantitative change would trigger qualitative change. Even an official wizard would probably have a headache dealing with them.
Angel sighed and turned to look toward the mountain entrance.
This place was not far from the entrance. Fafnir should be able to see the commotion here. Would she step in to save him?
Angel's beautiful vision shattered when the Bone Crows were still several miles away from him. It seemed Fafnir had no intention of intervening at all. Faced with attacks from above and below, Angel had only one choice... run!
