The Young Fire Demon was feeling thoroughly aggrieved. It had finally won its struggle and made the shop owner change her mind, yet before it could be happy for long, that hateful butler had stopped it in its tracks.
"Young Master Grewu, that shop is far from simple. Unless necessary, you would do best not to go there again." Butler Tandin, clad in red robes, elegantly voiced his opinion in the lilting cadences of the Ancient Demon Tongue.
"Why?" The Young Fire Demon Grewu had not yet switched back from Abyssal and instinctively replied in that language. Only after speaking did it realize its breach of etiquette, hastily changing to the Ancient Demon Tongue. "I'm going anyway."
Butler Tandin's expression remained calm as it said disdainfully, "As a demon noble, Young Master Grewu, how can you use such inferior Abyssal?"
"None of your business! I'm going tomorrow no matter what!" Grewu said unhappily. "And what's so extraordinary about that shop? It just has a formidable woman, doesn't it? She wouldn't dare kill me anyway."
Butler Tandin said lightly, "From my observations, that woman is very likely an adult Abyss Dragon. Her strength is no weaker than the master's. Moreover, that native carries a peculiar aura as well, especially... the mark on his earlobe. That is the mark of a powerful fire Demonic Beast."
A shop with such powerful backing undoubtedly had a problem. As a butler, it had to eliminate every danger from Grewu's side.
"I don't sense any hostility. I'm going tomorrow no matter what." When Grewu saw the butler's face darkening further after it spoke, it recalled the mission that had brought them to Lasudelan. In a weak voice that even it did not believe, it said, "Don't worry. Nothing will happen."
"It will be too late once
