Reynolds led Nausicaa north along the coast of Fragrant Wave Coast.
When they reached an Elephant Trunk Sea Rock standing out on the sea, Reynolds turned to look at the woods beyond the beach.
"That should be the entrance."
Nausicaa eyed Reynolds suspiciously. "Should be? You've never been here?"
After getting off the ship, Nausicaa had noticed that Reynolds seemed to be injured. A faint scent of blood clung to him, unlike that of a human; yet Reynolds was indeed human. Nausicaa could therefore almost certainly conclude that Reynolds had integrated some nonhuman bloodline.
That made Reynolds' identity self-evident. He had to be a transcendent.
And yet, as a transcendent, Reynolds had never even been to a nearby Wizard Market?
"I'm not from around here. Because of some unexpected changes, I've been recuperating in a fishing village recently. I was originally planning to scout out the market today, but I didn't expect to run into Miss Nausicaa." After explaining, Reynolds added, "Fas Rift is the name of this Wizard Market. Its landmark is that Elephant Trunk Sea Rock out at sea."
As he spoke, Reynolds headed toward the woods. "In the woods corresponding to Elephant Trunk Sea Rock, the first pair of palm trees planted side by side is the door."
After taking only a few steps, Reynolds stopped. Before him stood exactly two palm trees side by side, roughly two meters apart.
Nausicaa looked over and, sure enough, sensed familiar fluctuations between the two palms.
