On the third-floor balcony of the Ocean Theater, a boy in a little white suit leaned over the railing, staring at the streets shrouded in thick fog. "The fog's so heavy today. Will Lado still come?"
His babyish voice drifted out in a mutter.
"Stop thinking about it. Didn't you see the airship just now? Lado must have run off to wait near Skyvault Tower." A young girl's voice came from behind the little boy, cool in tone yet still unmistakably childish.
He turned around and saw a girl in a red dress push open the door and step onto the balcony. She was the one who had spoken.
"That's true. What Lado looks forward to most is Rabu returning from the Sin Demon Laboratory when the airship comes back to the city. Now that the airship has appeared, Lado must already have gone to see." Thinking that his best friend would not be coming today, his shoulders immediately slumped. But soon, he seemed to think of something, and his bright eyes turned toward the little girl in red. "Sunny, how about we go find Lado?"
Yada's suggestion made hesitation flash through Sunny's eyes.
She actually wanted to agree. It was not that she truly wanted to find Lado; she simply wanted to escape the singing lesson Mentor Jon had arranged for her.
