When Jon was young, he had watched a holographic film about advanced extraterrestrial life descending upon Earth. In one scene, humans discovered that they could communicate with the aliens without any barriers, and the method of communication was spiritual connection.

On Earth, that could only exist as a promising form of interaction dreamed up for films. Yet now, it had truly appeared before Jon.

The consciousness fluctuations of the two Dream Plant Fairies continued to spread outward. Jon merely sensed those fluctuations, and he understood what they wanted to express.

This way of acquiring information was more direct and faster than symbolic meanings conveyed through text, images, and the like.

Back on Earth, nearly every form of communication required the eyes to see, neurotransmitters to transmit, and the brain to analyze—a progressive, layered model. Communication through consciousness, however, became a direct point-to-point model, bypassing every unnecessary step and entering straight into the final stage of information acquisition.

This was Jon's first time experiencing such a thing. He stood there in a daze. All kinds of thoughts intertwined in his mind, and complex streams of information formed torrents within his consciousness.

Fortunately, Jon was only thinking within his own mind. If he had transmitted his consciousness outward, that tangled torrent of information would probably have frightened the Dream Plant Fairies chatting in secret.
