In a lush, verdant forest, a flower sprite sang babblingly by a lake!
Though she had no way of determining where the forest was, there was no need to determine it at all. This was another utterly meaningless fragment!
Calling it "meaningless" might have been somewhat arbitrary. After all, it was something that would happen in the future, and in some sense, it was usable data. For prophecy apprentices, gathering more data was beneficial to their growth. But to Maya, such data was like bland mortal food, utterly without nourishment for a true transcendent lifeform.
With no other choice, Maya could only patiently continue watching the star chart above her head.
Over the next while, Maya felt as though she had become a rubbish bin, with all manner of meaningless fragments being stuffed into her head. Most of them were like the earlier "flower sprite singing" scene, without any value whatsoever—not even a single bright spot.
Occasionally, a few fragments gave Maya pause for thought.
For example, she saw a corner of a city. Though it was only one corner, the construction of this city was unlike any city she had encountered before. It seemed to possess a wholly otherworldly style.
Maya paused to ponder the city. Yet the fragment of the future contained too little information, and she could only shake her head and put it out of her mind.
There was another fragment, also of a city, but this one was a city filled with illusion beasts. A man in formal attire knelt before his female companion in white gauze, staging a breathtakingly beautiful proposal amid the cheers and cries of illusion beasts.
