Seeing the scene outside the window, Little Saim could not help but smile bitterly.
Sure enough, there was no such good fortune.
If the farmer's ghost dared to set him aside for the moment, it must have left something in reserve. Escaping easily was basically impossible.
Even knowing escape would be difficult, Little Saim could not simply do nothing and sit waiting for death.
Little Saim thought for a moment, dipped his finger in his own blood, and drew an "O" on a nearby table. Then he limped toward the other room.
He had been in this room before. The new room's layout was identical to the previous one, even the smashed-up areas were exactly the same, except everything was reversed in a mirror image. Little Saim eagerly looked at the tabletop and saw a vivid red "O."
The blood had not yet dried. It was the one he had drawn earlier.
He had clearly drawn it in the room next door, so why did this new room have the same symbol?
Was it an illusion created by Soul-Death Blinding? Could illusions synchronize as well?
How was he supposed to break it?
Little Saim frowned tightly, unable to think of a way to break the situation.
As he pondered, faint sounds drifted into his ears again, like someone talking, or muffled groans from a fight. Little Saim wanted to trace the sounds back to their source, only to discover that he could not do so at all.
That was because the sounds appeared directly beside his ears, whispers without end yet utterly without origin.
After listening carefully for a while, Little Saim set them aside. The sounds were too ghostly and ethereal to help his current situation. What mattered most was finding a way out.
