When Uriel's "Dreamseeing" state faded, confusion still lingered in his eyes, but it was different from the confusion he had shown while Dreamseeing.
While Dreamseeing, Uriel had seemed bewildered by everything around him, as though he could not tell whether he was dreaming or awake.
But as a native of this realm, Uriel was confused about why he was sitting at the table... and why Luigi had come up to the second floor.
Uriel rubbed his aching head as memories surfaced.
Oh. He remembered now.
Luigi had played a superb piece and earned his approval.
He, in turn, had tried to pave the way for Luigi. He had even written a challenge letter to his former colleague, Glaimo...
These memories were of what Uriel had done while Dreamseeing. As a native of this realm, he had no idea that his Dreamseeing self had taken over, but the memories remained.
Uriel rubbed his brow and said wearily, "I've written to Glaimo. Barring any surprises, he should arrive soon. Two days at the latest."
Uriel turned to Luigi. "So you don't miss him, stay here until he arrives."
"There are two other rooms next door. Pick whichever one you like."
With that, Uriel paid Luigi no further attention. He went to the piano and quietly began to play.
It was the "Black Sheep Confession Song," the piece Uriel had performed not long ago.
As Uriel played, Luigi received a Wonderland notification that he had completed the quest.
