"Everyone should remember that I previously said Xiluda went to the Dark Mirror Domain because she had her own ambitions, ideals, and selfish motives."
"In truth, whether ambitions or ideals, they ultimately all came down to selfish motives."
"Her goal was to save Lita."
First, her ambition. Xiluda knew that the Dark Mirror Domain was dangerous, but she also knew it held endless opportunities. She hoped to find an opportunity that belonged to her in the Dark Mirror Domain, one that would grant her greater strength.
And greater strength meant a greater voice.
If she possessed such a voice, perhaps she could directly save Lita.
That was one reason.
Then there was her ideal. Another, and the most important and direct, reason Xiluda went to the Dark Mirror Domain was this: she had obtained intelligence that a mirror space reflecting an unknown time and space had appeared within the Dark Mirror Domain. That mirror space contained a great deal of knowledge on ritual studies.
Xiluda wanted to obtain that ritual knowledge.
Because she knew full well that the suddenly appearing mirror space was not false. That mirror space had appeared two thousand years ago as well. Back then, an adventurer had acquired a parchment scroll on ritual studies from within it and sold it.
And Tunita had been the buyer of that ritual parchment.
The reason he had later been able to arrange such a vast wonder ritual as Crystal City was also because of that parchment on ritual studies.
Since Tunita had once used ritual studies to turn the Crystal-Eyed Race into the twisted state they were in today, Xiluda thought of seeking out ritual knowledge herself, to break the prison-like ritual of Crystal City.
So long as the Crystal City ritual was destroyed—or, rather, the crucial "body-snatching" ritual
