"Sir... is there news of the young lady?"
Seeing Glaimo set down the letter, Butler Prang immediately asked curiously.
Glaimo gently shook his head. "No."
Butler Prang froze. "Then Uriel sent a letter because something important happened?"
Glaimo gave a cold laugh. "No."
"Then what is this...?"
Glaimo placed the three sheets of paper containing the harp score on the table. "He got hold of a harp score from somewhere and wants to invite me to perform it."
Butler Prang swept his gaze over the table. It really was a harp score.
"..." Butler Prang sighed. He had thought that boy had some urgent matter, but it turned out he had merely written to invite sir to perform this piece.
He had originally wanted to put in a few good words for Uriel before sir, but now it seemed there was nothing much to praise.
"At least... Uriel's intentions are good." Butler Prang said, "He knows that in all of Dawn City—no, in the entire Great Sman Empire—the finest harp performer is you, sir."
Glaimo had once delivered the finale performance on the Stage of the Nations. In the field of the harp, if he called himself second, no one would dare call themselves first.
"Perhaps that is precisely why he invited you, sir, to perform this score."
Glaimo glanced at Butler Prang and gave a soft snort. "From your tone, you think this score is precious?"
Butler Prang said, "Though I have not had much contact with Uriel, given his artistic cultivation, I do not think he would casually use just any score to fob you off, sir."
Butler Prang spoke with certainty.
After all, Uriel had once been a renowned artistic prodigy of the Great Sman Empire. Otherwise, how could the young lady possibly have become his companion?
