Satan had set up the entrance to the secret base in the study?
Hearing Satan's words, Coleman recalled how Satan had been quietly tinkering beside the bookshelf earlier. Could he have been setting up the secret base?
Satan nodded proudly. "Setting the secret base inside the study of the Steam Honey Workshop's manager—that was this lord's genius idea!"
"Humph humph—"
"Even if the Rebel organization is unfortunately exposed later, those bastards will never guess that the entrance to the secret base is here!"
Listening to Satan's head-raised laughter, Coleman silently sighed to himself. After all the twists and turns, the "darkness beneath the lamp" had still arrived.
Still, after getting rid of the manager, setting up the secret base here did sound workable at first glance—but only if the factory's upper ranks did not know the manager was already dead...
After returning to the study, Satan hobbled over to the bookshelf on his cane. With a hard shove, he pushed the shelf aside, revealing a dark brown rock wall behind it.
There was now a crooked black symbol on that rock wall, carrying the scorched smell of burnt ash.
The symbol depicted a flaming hand breaking through magma and raising a hammer high.
According to Satan, this was a symbol he had burned onto the wall with flames earlier, representing the spirit of the Rebels.
As for why it represented the spirit of the Rebels, Satan himself could not explain it. Once he had obtained his Rebel identity, this symbol had simply appeared in his mind.
After carving it out according to his own will, he could use the symbol to travel to the Rebels' secret base.
For now, Satan could only carve this one symbol.
But if the number of Rebels continued to grow in the future, Satan would
