"Did something happen?"
Kaia stared at Mud Duke, his expression grave. "Is your race extremely rare?"
Mud Duke asked, "Does that matter?"
Urgency flashed in Kaia's eyes. "Of course it matters. Answer me first."
Mud Duke hesitated for a moment, then nodded lightly. "There is only one of my kind."

"What the howl!" Upon hearing this, Kaia could not help blurting out his catchphrase again. He even began pacing back and forth across the room.
The others became even more suspicious. What exactly had happened to shock Kaia so badly?
Despite everyone's curiosity, Kaia still did not answer. Instead, he paced faster, brows tightly furrowed, his mind wholly submerged in thought.
About half a minute later, Kaia raised his head and fixed his gaze on everyone. "We need to leave this place."
