Or, if an elemental creature decided in a fit of fury to self-destruct and perish together with its enemy, but its energy core was sealed at that moment, then without energy to support it, it could not only no longer self-destruct—it could not even entertain the thought of "dispersing itself voluntarily." That, too, was depriving it of its own power of choice.
In other words, sealing arts meant leaving the sealed target without any power of choice, or unable to exercise its own choices.
