Inside a magnificent library hidden within an alternate-dimensional space.
Hundred-meter bookshelves were everywhere, their tiers piled high with ancient tomes and scrolls of varying thickness.
The shelves had been carved entirely from deep-prison ebony, dense gray spectral mist continuously spilling from the wood and shrouding the entire library in heavy darkness.
Only rows of old-fashioned lanterns hung along the sides of the shelves, their dim yellow halos falling through the boundless dark and carving out patches of meager light.
At that moment, a lantern suspended in midair suddenly flickered, revealing a red-and-blue mechanical eye within.
"Master, bzzzt, bzz, has returned."
The mechanical eye spoke in an icy voice devoid of any emotion, like a mechanical puppet.
As its words fell.
A hundred meters away, purple flames suddenly surged within another lantern, and a cold beast eye emerged.
A trace of mockery surfaced in the beast eye.
"Calling him Master with every breath. As expected of the Mechanical Creator—you truly are loyal."
The mechanical eye shifted slightly and glanced toward the beast eye. "As divine thought incarnations alike, bzzzt, we should share Master's burdens and solve his troubles."

The mechanical eye watched the beast eye quietly and did not try to persuade it further.
