Angel had naturally noticed the three people on the mountainside. When he first saw people halfway up the mountain, he had thought a hard battle was inevitable. But after learning their information from Toby and seeing them turn around and leave without hesitation, he more or less understood what they were thinking.
They were probably doing him a favor while making their presence known.
Jiebo was one thing, but Angel recalled the other two. The woman with pure white pupils and a fish-scale tattoo on her earlobe was presumably an apprentice of Deep Sea Song. As for the purple-haired woman whose arms had transformed into black wings, she reminded him of the other group Gorman had mentioned.
People from Summer Dew Ridge? Angel mused. Judging by the atmosphere when they had left, Summer Dew Ridge and Deep Sea Song did not seem to be on particularly good terms either... He had originally thought the two factions were allied, but it now seemed there were differences between them.
Since they had left, Angel did not dwell on it. He put the cloak before him into his bracelet, recalled Toby, and flew toward New Ross Count's Estate.
Though he was very curious about the cloak's exact effects, Jiebo and the others' appearance had put Angel on guard, so he did not inspect it out in the wilderness.
On the way back, Toby chirped twice at Angel in curiosity.
"Why did the alchemical omen last so long this time?" Angel repeated Toby's question before answering, "Half an hour? That is indeed rather long for an alchemical omen. But the time I experienced in the omen space was far longer..."
As he recalled the omen space, Angel could not help thinking again of the black shadow upon the Wheel of Time.
