Angel pondered for a long time but still could not make sense of it. He even considered refining another one to try. However, the materials were scarce, and he was currently on a continent ruled by mortals, where there was no way to replenish them. In the end, he could only give up.

At the very least, having some effect was better than having none.

Angel turned his gaze back to the cloak before him. Its base was pure black, embroidered with faint dark-gold patterns. When the wind blew, golden lines seemed to float and drift across its surface.

The lining was vivid crimson, made from the fur of superior fire mice, with self-cleaning and temperature-regulating properties.

The golden shoulder clasp sat on the right shoulder alone, with a teardrop-shaped crystal dangling from its end.

This crystal was both an ornament and a treasure with subspace properties. The cloak could be folded away into the crystal at any time. At the same time, the cloak's power source was also housed within the crystal.

Though the cloak as a whole contained only black, dark gold, and crimson, those three colors happened to belong to the aristocratic palette. Combined with the floating golden patterns on its surface, the final effect was quite good.

It suited Angel's aesthetic fairly well—neither ostentatious nor dull.

Angel himself was satisfied with the cloak overall. However, its original designer—Nano—would probably be hopping mad. Before Angel and Nano had finalized the blueprint, Nano's proposed design had been a bright-purple lining, a grass-green exterior, and vivid-red floating patterns.

Only Nano would probably dare wear such bold, bizarre colors.

Angel was currently satisfied with both the cloak's appearance and its effects. What remained to be tested was the endurance of Poem of Blankness once activated.
