The Dead Island

After Angel unfolded the parchment, his brows lifted slightly. "It really is a page from the sailing log. I never expected there to be another missing entry here."

"Shining Gold 1353, the eighth day of the first half of Cold Arrival Month."

"I quietly died at the bottom of the well. Sadly, my treasure remains in a distant place. I hope my descendants can find my treasure. It is the only glory I leave to you."

There was only this brief entry on the parchment. Yet from the date, Angel spotted a few clues.

The date Lucas jumped into the well was the sixth day of the first half of Cold Arrival Month, Shining Gold 1353.

This entry had been written two days after he jumped into the well. In other words, this parchment stuffed inside the drawer was the final page of Lucas's sailing log!

After reading this final entry, Angel was rather confused.

"Lucas claimed that he quietly died at the bottom of the well, but his skeleton was clearly aboard his Feather Fan?" Could someone else have brought Lucas's remains here?

And Lucas hoped his descendants would find his treasure, which happened to correspond with his descendants using blood to activate the magic energy array at the bottom of the well and arriving in this strange place.

Then according to his log, was there still his treasure in this strange place?

Was Lucas's final log entry a lie, or a truthful record of how he felt after jumping into the well?

There was another question Angel had yet to figure out: was Lucas a liar, or an honest man?
