Jiebo froze on the spot.
He had only broken through to a third-level apprentice not long ago and had been stuck at the first minor barrier for barely half a year. Going by past experience, he would remain stuck there for two to three years. If he was lucky, he might break through within a year.
Yet now, he could actually feel the bottleneck had noticeably loosened?! When he transformed into an elemental body, there was almost no obstruction at all, more than enough to prove that his feeling was correct.
Although the barrier still remained, based on Jiebo's own experience, it might not take him much longer to break through this minor barrier and successfully advance into the realm of a mid-stage third-level apprentice!
An irrepressible surge of joy rose within Jiebo.
But his delight lasted only a moment before another question came to mind: Why had his bottleneck loosened so much?
Just half a day ago, when he transformed into water, he could still clearly feel a sense of sluggish resistance. He did not believe that he could have suddenly attained enlightenment in so short a time.
So what was the reason?
Jiebo slowly raised his head and looked toward the hazy illusion hanging in midair like clouds and mist.
The answer was already self-evident.
The strangest thing he had experienced that day was being suddenly drawn into a bizarre dream... or perhaps an illusion? Within that dream, he had no memories. He had merely been a fisherman struggling mournfully in a storm. He had held on for only a minute or two before dying.
After his death, his memories returned, and the bottleneck loosened.
Everything had unfolded according to a perfectly logical sequence, so Jiebo almost immediately confirmed the cause... There was something wrong with the music
