Anomalous Illusion Realm

Although he had designed the illusion realm's main framework himself, nearly all of its details had been filled in by strange thoughts that emerged on their own while he was immersed in that entranced state.

Even its core character—the Sea Goddess—had only been given a rough framework by Angel. Everything else had been constructed while he was unconscious.

After all, Angel had originally intended to use the Mermaid Princess's character setting as the blueprint for the Sea Goddess's image. But although the Mermaid Princess seemed to reveal a faint trace of "divinity" when she sang her heavenly song, she herself was not worthy of the title "god."

If Angel designed the Sea Goddess in her image, it would very likely have form without spirit, falling into cliché. Yet Angel did not know how to portray so-called divinity either, so he could only proceed according to his original idea.

But when he truly began creating the Sea Goddess's image, aided by that wondrous state, he had not mixed in any of his own perceptions at all. The final image had been designed entirely by his unconscious mind.

Even now, Angel himself had never seen the Sea Goddess.

Thus, this Alchemical Illusion Realm was in fact more of a kind of "subconsciousness," or perhaps Angel's unconscious creation after attuning to a certain frequency. While creating it, Angel had been muddled most of the time. The only thing he knew clearly was that only by following the illusion realm's own design could it reach the most perfect state.

Therefore, Angel could not possibly have modified the illusion realm from the start.

If he consciously controlled and altered the illusion realm, everything would become bland and tasteless, and it would be even less likely to trigger such a strange Anomaly Space.
