Cause and Attachment

Angel looked at the little girl trapped within the blood array. Her expression was grim. Seeing them, she showed no surprise at all, merely staring at them with dead-fish eyes.

"Sunny, right? Who trapped you here, and when were you trapped?" Angel stared directly into Sunny's eyes.

Sunny merely sneered and said nothing.

Angel turned to the little boy standing at the edge of the blood array. He wanted badly to touch Sunny, but he was so afraid of the blood on the ground that he spun in anxious circles. "You said earlier that Sunny hadn't left this place for several months. That means she was trapped in here sometime within those past few months?"

The little boy nodded. "Yes. Sunny was still fine half a year ago..."

"You don't know why she was trapped?" Angel continued.

"I don't know. Sunny usually wouldn't let me get near this building." The little boy lowered his head and muttered.

Angel gave an "Oh" to show he understood, then looked once more at the silent Sunny and clicked his tongue twice. "You're both children. How come your baleful aura is so much heavier than his?"

"And with such a heavy baleful aura, you've been locked in the blood array for as long as half a year, yet you still haven't fallen into an undead creature." Angel asked curiously, "Why? Is there some belief holding you up and keeping you from falling?"

The little girl kept a cold face and continued glaring viciously at Angel, refusing to answer.

"Sunny isn't like this when she's asleep. She's very gentle then," the little boy said softly. "But once she wakes up, she becomes very harsh, as if she's changed into someone else..."

Before the little boy could finish, Sunny shouted sharply, "Idiot Yada, shut up!"
