An Unusual Atmosphere

Early the next morning, they finally arrived in Yamei Province.

At four in the morning, Angel had settled Shannon in Broken Gold Province, which neighbored Yamei Province. Mainly because Shannon did not seem suited to high-altitude travel and had been dizzy the entire time.

Taking her physical condition into account, Angel asked for directions through Yamei Province and left her in Menus—the largest city in Broken Gold Province. Once he confirmed that she could still move about, he piloted the Gondola toward Yamei Province.

As the morning sun rose leisurely, the Gondola flew over Waterford.

Waterford did not rank among Yamei Province's notable cities, but it was the closest city to Gelu Town. In Angel's childhood memories, Waterford had been an immense city whose edges seemed impossible to find. But after seeing all manner of giant cities, Angel realized that Waterford was only a little larger than Bolai Town.

Bolai Town on Revelation Continent displayed its unique character before one even approached it, brimming with artistry and innovation. But Waterford seemed cold and outdated even to Duru. Though it had several tall buildings, nearly all its other houses were piled from black stone, leaving the entire city in almost a single shade. The only thing worth mentioning was probably its orderly construction, its buildings arranged with strict precision and neatness. But from another angle, that was simply being too set in its ways.

"Lord Pat, look over there." Duru suddenly pointed somewhere and spoke to Angel.

Angel had been observing this city from his childhood memories all along, so he had already noticed the place Duru indicated.
