Sina Trench

The sky was a flawless blue, and in the clear weather, the end of the sea nearly merged with the horizon.

Beneath such brilliant sunlight, a flying boat swept through the sky, leaving behind rings of mist like frothing spray.

Angel sat expressionlessly inside the flying boat, looking at the owl standing atop the upturned prow of the Gondola.

The owl flapped its wings and pointed in a direction. "Go this way, hear me? This way! Are you an idiot? This way!"

Angel glanced at the boundless ocean, silently imagining recipes for roasted owl, but he still changed course as instructed.

"And you still won't admit you have no sense of direction. Even following a sea chart, you'd get lost. Good thing Master sent this inspector to follow you, or you'd never reach Roydes in your entire life." The owl held its head high, immensely pleased with its own importance.

Angel did not argue over whether the route was correct. He knew he was indeed prone to losing his bearings at sea. But toward Bulei's lofty attitude, he replied coldly, "This isn't Old Earth Continent, much less Pat Manor. If I kill you, no one will know, and no one will come to save you. So put away that arrogant attitude of yours, or else..." Angel sneered, making Bulei shudder.

The owl Bulei looked over in alarm. Under Angel's icy gaze, it finally cowered. Its spread feathers slowly folded back down, and it drooped like an eggplant struck by frost.

Yet it still muttered under its breath, "When you broke my monocle before, I didn't even blame you, yet you're being mean to me..."

This owl was the very inspector who had once guarded the entrance to Pat Manor, and also Yurika's magical pet.
