Angel's voice reached Jon's ears. Jon paused, then hesitantly asked himself, "Huh, so longing can create variables in dreams? Then lucid dreams also have uncontrollable factors?"
Jon's muttering amused Angel. "Although I do count as a variable in your dream, Mentor, I wasn't generated autonomously. I'm the result of external intervention."
Jon rubbed his lightly stubbled chin. "You mean you're the real Angel, and you entered my dream?"
Angel said, "That's right."
"What makes you think I should believe you? How do you prove that you aren't something I imagined in my dream?" Jon asked.
"If you carefully sense things, Mentor, you should be able to feel my presence. Once you perceive me, you'll believe me." If it had been anyone else, Angel would never have dared expose his location. That could easily leave him restrained by another's dream. But before Jon, Angel was willing to give the greatest possible trust.
In this dream, Jon was not only its creator, but also its highest executor. In other words, heaven and earth within this dream could move according to his will.
With a mere turn of thought, Jon sensed a strange stream of foreign information around him.
That stream of information was utterly out of place in this world. Just as Angel had said, Jon almost immediately determined that it did not belong to his dream.
"There truly are traces from outside. It seems this is indeed an intervention-type variable." Jon murmured to himself, then asked softly in puzzlement, "Even so, how will you prove that you are my student Angel?"
Angel said, "Then how do you think I should prove it, Mentor?"
