Hupo Star.
Once a resplendent capital city that filled countless Amber people with pride.
Now, corpses littered the ground, and ruins and bloodstains lay everywhere.
Three dark-green space warships, their surfaces covered in laser scorch marks yet their armor still seemingly sturdy, had descended from the sky.
They had crushed a vast stretch of ruins beneath them.
Around them, large numbers of Dakini warriors with green skin and horns growing from their heads
used crude, rugged mechanical vehicles to transport metal crates filled with supplies into the ships' storage holds.
Every so often, they joked with one another.
Mocking how weak the Amber people of this planet were and boasting about how many they had killed earlier.
The entire scene was incredibly lively.
They had already exterminated civilizations on many planets, and Hupo Star was merely one of them.
It couldn't be helped. Since their employer wanted a clean planet,
as mercenaries, they naturally had to fulfill the request. Besides, it suited them just fine.
"How is it?"
Wang Gai sat boldly atop a fallen stone.
Both hands rested on the end of a metal staff.
He fixed his scarlet, blood-red eyes on the clansman walking toward him and asked coldly.
The Dakini warrior under his gaze looked somewhat nervous and answered uneasily,
"Chief, we still haven't found any trace of the 'Hupo royal family.'"
"Where's Walian?" Wang Gai asked again.
"Sorry, we... we haven't found him either," the Dakini warrior said through gritted teeth.
His heart was truly filled with bitterness. No one had expected the royal family of this planet to have vanished.
Of course, it was only natural that they would run, but why couldn't they find even the slightest trace of them?
And there was also their clansman named Walian.
Logically, even if he had died
