"Still want to fight?"
Using the recoil from his paw strike, Bartholomew Kuma leaped more than ten meters away.
He calmly looked at Tsuchigumo, half his body buried in the crater, and asked.
"Urgh—"
Tsuchigumo's face twisted in agony as he coughed up mouthfuls of blood, clutching his caved-in chest.
For a while, he could not even speak.
Yet his scarlet eyes gleamed with excitement, while the increasingly intense fighting spirit around him answered Kuma in his stead.
"Ha—haha—hahahaha! I've finally met someone strong!"
"Good, this is great! Looks like I can finally have a satisfying fight!"
Wisps of black smoke began to rise from Tsuchigumo's body.
That was his 'Fear.'
It was rapidly healing Tsuchigumo's injuries while further increasing his strength.
"But I'm so hungry."
Greed gradually filled Tsuchigumo's gaze as he looked at Kuma.
He had not 'eaten' anything in over four hundred years.
More importantly, for yokai of Tsuchigumo's race, the hungrier they became, the more frenzied they grew, until they completely lost their reason.
Seeing this, Bartholomew Kuma said nothing more.
He simply allowed Tsuchigumo, whose eyes now glowed purple with madness, to charge toward him.
Night Parade of a Hundred Demons: Destruction!
That was the full name of his 'Fear.'
It was specifically meant to counter yokai hordes forming a night parade of a hundred demons, as well as the masters of demons and specters.
However, Bartholomew Kuma did not care about any of that.
Facing the ferocious four-fist assault that tore through the air like heavy artillery shells leaving their barrels—
He merely raised his palms casually, blocking each fist before him.
Yet for Tsuchigumo, the full force of his punches rebounded entirely onto himself.
Once again, again and again, his whole body was sent flying backward, carving a long trench into the ground.
