And once these Underground People—some wielding cold weapons, others flamethrowers, and occasionally tossing lava bombs—got close,
even fully armed soldiers found them difficult to fight.
However, unlike the tall and powerful Underground People from Saitama's dream,
the Underground People in reality were extremely small, generally only around one meter tall.
But as mentioned before, they were incredibly agile, moved quickly, and excelled at climbing.
Even the walls of high-rise buildings were as easy for them to traverse as flat ground.
They also had excellent night vision, though that was of little use during the day.
Even so,
the Underground People's average disaster level still reached Wolf level.
Though they were inferior to the Sea Folk, Forest Folk, and Skyfolk, they possessed their own greatest advantage.

The reason the Underground People had come to the surface to wipe out humanity
was mainly because they had reproduced too much, and the underground could no longer accommodate them.
Thus, they could only come to the surface to fight for more space to survive and develop.
After a century of oppression by monsters and mutated creatures, the population of the Super Continent
had long since fallen to roughly thirty percent of what it once was.
This was also the source of the Underground People slaughtering seventy percent of humanity in Saitama's dream.
