In a corridor somewhere on the southern side of the Monster Association's underground headquarters.
A righteous shout suddenly rang out.
Jiwei, dressed in a police uniform, gripped a police pistol in both hands and aimed it at the two figures ahead.
Yet such a stern action only made the atmosphere awkward.
Aite, Pochi, G-5, and Gum all turned their attention toward him.
Jiwei seemed not to notice, maintaining his guarded stance.
"One is Machine God, and the other is a monster. Judging by the latter's aura, they should both be Dragon-level. I doubt they'll surrender without a fight."
"Aite, Little Black, prepare for battle!"
G-5 studied the strange group before it in confusion, then spoke in a voice cranked full of electronic distortion.
"Police Man and Watchdog Man are one thing, but Pochi, why are you joining them?"
"So Little Black, your name is Pochi. Nice. Come on, open your mouth."
Jiwei first had a sudden realization, delighted to learn its name, then took out a soldier pill and tossed it over.
He knew Pochi had no master now. If he wanted it to obey him, he first had to feed it.
Sure enough.
After Pochi swallowed the delicious soldier pill, it immediately turned to face G-5 and Gum.
At the same time, its body rapidly swelled at a visible rate.
G-5 understood as well. Drawing the long sword from its waist, it said coldly, "You stupid dog are betraying us over food?"
"Pochi only followed you before because you had food here."
Knowing Pochi could not speak, Jiwei spoke up to retort on its behalf.
"Now that I can give it something better, it's only natural that it becomes my partner."
