Jonin Dodai finally led nearly a thousand physically and mentally exhausted ninja back to the Cloud-Hidden Village in the Land of Lightning.

Heaven knew how difficult the sea route had been, having to circle around most of the Shinobi World's coastline.

The lack of water and food was one thing. With the enthusiastic contributions from the Land of Tea along the way, they had barely managed. But every night, ninja from all sides would harass them.

Dodai and the others in the Raikage's office fell silent. They found the matter unbelievable as well. Even though Dodai had experienced it firsthand, it still felt unreal.

He had even briefly wondered whether he had fallen under a genjutsu.

But that was merely self-comfort.

"Brothers, calm down. We need to think about what to do now, yo, brothers!"
