Edward Newgate asked his children whether they would join him in a new cosmic adventure, then chose to stay on Sea Star rather than disrupt their settled lives. Meanwhile, Imu planned to recruit Shiki for the expedition and received a call request from Skull Knight Gaiseric, who had accepted Star Disciple status.

• Newgate gathered his children on Sphinx Island and explained that the World Government wanted him to lead a Whitebeard Adventure Group into the Galactic Empire's starfields.
• Marco, Jozu, Thatch, Loli Mercury, Vista, Whitey Bay, and others volunteered to follow Newgate, while some of his children hesitated because they had families and established lives.
• Newgate decided to remain on Sea Star and support his family rather than make anyone abandon their new lives.
• Imu learned that Newgate, Kaido, and Boros would not join the expedition, so he planned to give Shiki resources to build a force.
• The Star Map reported that Gaiseric had accepted Star Disciple status and requested a call, and Imu connected it, guessing that Gaiseric sought help against the God of Void.

Gaiseric, the Skull Knight, accepted Imu and the World Government’s offer to cooperate against the God of Void and the Will of the Abyss. He agreed to open a Star Gate only after Imu proved he could defeat the God of Void and protect the Berserk World, then returned to the real world.
