Chapter Summaries

The World Government’s forces entered full-scale battles in the Zero Magic world and Albion as Imu prepared to reopen its Star Gate for a conquest. Imu also learned that Star Fate had brought the Giant World under his control, but he could not yet see Ymir in the Coordinate Space.

• Mr. Hugh sent Louise and Saito Hiraga away, then clapped his hands and used alchemy to destroy Damian’s ice demons with a gale.
• Damian revealed he was a Square-class mage, and his tornado clashed with Mr. Hugh’s, damaging Tristain Academy’s walls and towers.
• Tengen Uzui flew toward Germania’s magical fleet over Albion, and one of its airships exploded as he attacked.
• On January 1st, Marine Calendar 1503, Imu chose a gradual approach and planned to reopen the Star Gate to the Zero Magic world to send more personnel there.
• Imu saw that Star Fate had brought the Giant World under his control, then tried and failed to observe Ymir in the Coordinate Space.

Imu considered leaving the Giant World after Star Fate brought it under control, while weighing a possible reduction in the Eldians’ labor sentences and examining how the worlds’ merger might affect Devil Fruits. Little Enma reported that she had become ruler of the Giant World’s Underworld and that King Enma of the Sea Star Underworld wanted to speak with Imu.

• Imu left Esdeath sleeping and went to bathe, reflecting that Star Fate had achieved its goal in the Giant World and that it was time to leave.
• Imu considered reducing the Eldians’ twenty-year labor sentence by ten years because Historia had worked hard, but decided they would have to prove their value to earn the reduction.
• Imu studied Star Fate’s plan to designate a main world and assimilate other worlds, wondering whether Devil Fruits would be shared between worlds or develop new varieties.
• Imu met Little Enma, who excitedly confirmed that the Giant World’s Underworld had recognized her as its ruler.
• Little Enma told Imu that King Enma of the Sea Star Underworld wanted to speak with him, and Imu suspected the lack of new souls had made him impatient.

Imu consulted Little Enma about King Enma’s invitation, then agreed to meet him through Brook rather than risk traveling to the Underworld. Little Enma led Imu into the Giant World’s Underworld to confront Ymir over the souls she had taken, and prepared for a possible fight.

• Imu asked Little Enma whether to keep cooperating with King Enma, and she advised maintaining the relationship while warning him to judge King Enma’s attitude.
• Little Enma suggested that King Enma possess Brook to speak with Imu, and Imu agreed to the arrangement.
• Little Enma explained that she needed to establish Hades and gather souls, then asked Imu to help her deal with Ymir for intercepting Eldian souls.
• Little Enma opened a new Underworld Gate and led Imu’s soul into the Giant World’s Underworld, where she revealed that her flames had scorched its landscape and destroyed many souls.
• Little Enma sensed Ymir’s Coordinate Space, opened a passage toward it, and transformed into an adult woman as she declared they were going to fight.

Imu and Enma confronted Ymir in Coordinate Space and forced her to submit by using Enma’s Hellfire to torture her without killing her. Ymir agreed to obey Imu’s demands and revealed that the World Government’s next world contained the Five Great Nations, Ninja Villages, ninjas, and ninjutsu.

• Ymir saw Imu and Enma arrive in Coordinate Space and asked whether they had come to kill her.
• Enma’s spiritual pressure pinned Ymir down, and her Hellfire destroyed the Titans she summoned from the sand.
• Enma burned Ymir’s foot while keeping her alive, and Ymir begged Imu to forgive her and promised to obey.
• Imu asked Ymir to let adult Eldians transform into Pure Titans while retaining their consciousness and returning to human form, and Ymir said she could not grant the consciousness part.
• Ymir warned Imu that the future she saw was certain and could not be changed, then told him the next world had the Five Great Nations, Ninja Villages, ninjas, and ninjutsu.

Imu assessed the coming Star Gate’s destination, the Shinobi World, and prepared for a cautious reconnaissance while assigning Enma techniques to study. In the Zero Magic World, Biba Amatori’s forces won a devastating war, and Giulio Caesar arrived at Tristain Academy of Magic.

• Imu concluded that the Star Gate would open into the Shinobi World and considered its possible eras, dangers, and powerful inhabitants.
• Imu planned to let the Five Elders prepare for the Shinobi World and decided to increase his training and study ways to counter Six Paths-level opponents.
• Imu explained Shinigami combat arts to Enma, who continued building Hades and recruited Ymir and the souls of battle-hardened Eldians, Ackermans, and Titan hosts.
• Stussy informed the Five Elders that the next Star Gate led to the Shinobi World and that Noah was about to return to Sea Star.
• Biba Amatori’s world war ended with the destruction of the Gallia and Germania armies, after which he arranged Wales and Henrietta’s wedding and prepared to advance on Lutece.
• Giulio Caesar, a God's Official of the United Halkaroman Romalia Empire, arrived at Tristain Academy of Magic on a White Dragon.

Stussy brought Noah back to Sea Star World without being detected, and Imu used ROOM to guard the Star Gate base and Mary Geoise against spatial intruders. After arriving at the Holy Land with Historia, Esdeath, and the others, Imu left to discuss the Shinobi World and Sea Star affairs, while Stussy led the newcomers away from the Land of the Gods.

• Stussy repeatedly shrank Noah with her Mini-Mini Fruit until it passed through the Star Gates and reached Sea Star World unseen.
• Imu opened a door from Door-Door Space, then used ROOM to cover the RL1557 Star Gate base so he could sense spatial infiltrators.
• Imu returned Noah to Mary Geoise and spread ROOM over the Holy Land as well.
• Historia, Esdeath, Mikasa, Rico, Akame, Kurome, and the others admired Mary Geoise from Noah's deck.
• Imu told the group to follow Stussy and avoid the Land of the Gods before he departed to meet the Five Elders.
• Stussy declined to explain why the Land of the Gods was off-limits and led the group toward Pangaea Castle.

The Five Elders discussed plans for scouting the Shinobi World and agreed that the Sea Ninja Village was suited to the task, since the strongest Ōtsutsuki would be left to Imu. They then turned their attention to conquering Zero Magic World first to obtain magic, Wind Stone, and other valuable resources.

• Saturn questioned whether the Sea Ninja Village’s scouts were powerful enough, but Saint Shepherd Ju Peter argued that ninja scouts were appropriate and did not need exceptional strength.
• Saint Topman Warcury explained that Imu expected the scouts might encounter Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo or Ōtsutsuki Toneri, and Imu would handle them if they acted.
• Saint Marcus Mars recalled that Imu had ordered three historians to translate technological information from the Poneglyphs for the Academy of Sciences.
• Saint Shepherd Ju Peter reminded the Five Elders that Zero Magic World had to be dealt with before the Shinobi World, citing its magic and resources.
• Saint Topman Warcury praised Wind Stone for reducing the Air Force fleet’s reliance on Shiki, while Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro proposed a full military invasion.
• Saint Shepherd Ju Peter expressed interest in seeing how much Biba Amatori had improved.

Albion’s army attacked Lutece while Biba Amatori’s forces fought the city’s defenders and a swarm of Night Demons. King Joseph’s Firestones devastated the magic fleet, but Biba survived and turned his attention toward the royal palace.

• Biba Amatori watched Albion’s forces attack Lutece after he had poisoned most of Gallia’s soldiers, while the five Yormungands remained inactive.
• A swarm of Night Demons approached the fleet, and Wardes explained that they could merge with darkness but were weakened by daylight.
• The Night Demons and Albion’s airships were caught in enormous Firestone explosions that blasted apart parts of the fleet and damaged Lutece.
• King Joseph and Sheffield watched the explosions from the palace and celebrated the Firestones’ power.
• Biba Amatori survived by using his Logia ability, recovered Andvaria’s Ring, and declared that he had finally found a formidable opponent.

Biba Amatori confronted King Joseph and Sheffield in the Gallia palace, seeking the remaining pieces needed to awaken his Void. Joseph offered to help Biba conquer the world by taking Albion, but Biba refused his proposal.

• King Joseph ordered Sheffield to begin cleaning up after the destruction and keep the prisoners alive.
• Biba Amatori entered the palace after killing two royal guards, and Sheffield summoned monsters to block him before Joseph ordered her to dismiss them.
• Biba introduced himself and declared his intention to conquer every nation using the Albion Kingdom as his foundation.
• Biba recognized Sheffield as a Void Familiar and Joseph as a Void user, then explained the legend of gathering four sacred treasures, rings, Familiars, and heirs.
• Joseph revealed that he possessed the Earth Ruby, the Founder's Music Box, and the Founder's Incense Burner, and offered to help Biba gather the Void users in exchange for becoming king of a New Gallia Kingdom.
• Biba considered Joseph's proposal but refused it.

Biba Amatori tested King Joseph’s Acceleration magic and agreed to cooperate with him rather than risk a prolonged chase. After Joseph introduced his elf employee Bitashal, Biba attacked him to find out what magic he could use.

• King Joseph rejected Biba Amatori’s offer, drew his wand, and challenged him to a spar.
• Joseph used Acceleration magic to strike Biba at incredible speed, then showed he could escape with Sheffield before Biba could catch them.
• Biba chased Joseph and Sheffield around the palace hall with Soru, but admitted he could not reliably stop Joseph from fleeing.
• Biba abandoned his demand for the throne of Albion and agreed to preserve Gallia in exchange for Joseph’s cooperation.
• Biba called out Bitashal, the elf who had secretly watched them, and learned he had used Rebound magic on the steel dolls.
• After Bitashal asked what magic Biba had used, Biba answered that it was Haki and suddenly attacked him.

Biba Amatori attacked Bitashal with Serpent Breathing, overwhelming the elf’s repulsion barrier after Bitashal mistook the technique for magic and underestimated him. The barrier shattered, leaving Biba with his blade at Bitashal’s throat.

• Biba Amatori’s blade struck Bitashal’s repulsion barrier, and Bitashal dismissed him as a barbarian while claiming his own magic surpassed Yormungand’s fixed array.
• Biba Amatori used Serpent Breathing, Third Form, Coil Choke, summoning a white serpent-like manifestation that repeatedly attacked Bitashal’s barrier.
• Bitashal recognized the serpent as Swordsmanship rather than magic and summoned flying stones to attack Biba Amatori.
• Biba Amatori focused his strikes on Bitashal’s barrier, while Bitashal reduced the stones’ force because he did not want to kill anyone.
• Sheffield noticed that Biba Amatori’s body turned into purple mist where the stones pierced him, and Biba shattered Bitashal’s barrier.
• Biba Amatori pressed his blade to Bitashal’s throat and declared that the elf’s repulsion magic had a limit.

After Gallia’s situation was resolved, Damian accepted Mr. Hugh as his alchemy teacher while the group discussed gathering all the Void powers. Julio Caesar arrived as Louise’s new guard and revealed that Pope Vittorio was also a Void Mage seeking the powers to save the world, leaving Mr. Hugh wondering what threat the Pope foresaw.

• Biba Amatori reported that Gallia’s situation was resolved and that he had spared its king, who was also a Void Mage.
• Damian accepted Mr. Hugh as his teacher, and Mr. Hugh confirmed that he was gathering the Void powers to fulfill the Founder Brimir’s legend.
• Saito Hiraga speculated that gathering the four Void powers might awaken Brimir, while Damian counted the Void Mages, Familiars, rings, and treasures already assembled.
• Julio Caesar arrived at Tristain Academy as Louise’s new guard and revealed that he was the Void Familiar of Pope Vittorio.
• Julio told the group that Vittorio possessed a Fire Ruby and the Founder’s Mirror and sought to gather the Void powers to save the world, making Mr. Hugh suspect the Pope knew of an approaching threat.

Julio Caesar invited the group to Romalia to meet the Pope and discuss gathering the Voids, while the whereabouts of the remaining Void Familiar and familiar remained unknown. That night, the World Government sent a vast fleet and thousands of personnel through the Star Gate into Albion, where magical creatures converged on the base.

• Julio Caesar said the group could accompany him to Romalia, and Headmaster Aulder declined but asked to be informed if all the Voids were gathered.
• Damian asked who knew the locations of the remaining Void Familiar and familiar, but no one had an answer.
• Janet clung to Louise and suggested they sleep together, prompting Chelsea and Saito Hiraga to argue with her until Louise ordered everyone away from her room.
• A Star Gate opened in the Valais Mountains, and eleven spacecraft carriers, forty warships, and nearly ten thousand World Government troops entered the Zero Magic World.
• Magical creatures gathered around the Star Gate Base, and Mata told Melard to capture them alive.

Im hosted Esdeath and Historia in the Moon Chamber and considered Historia’s limited lifespan, which might not be cured by her Pure Gold ring. He decided they would visit Esdeath’s world for three years, then agreed to transform the lunar retreat into the Flower Chamber.

• Im had Noah moved back into the Door-Door Fruit’s space because the enormous vessel would block the moon and stars above Mary Geoise.
• Historia and Esdeath returned to the treehouse with Mikasa, Rico, Akame, Kurome, and the others, then entered to speak with Im.
• Esdeath and Historia remarked on Im’s long solitude on the moon, and he explained how training and sensing the starry sea had helped him endure it.
• Im realized that Historia’s Curse of the Intelligent Titans might outlast the Pure Gold ring, and considered asking Ymir or Truth for a solution.
• Im told Esdeath and Historia that they would live in Esdeath’s world for three years, and Historia asked him to make the lunar grounds lush and rename the Moon Chamber.
• Im agreed to fill the grounds with exotic flowers and rare herbs and call the retreat the Flower Chamber.

Imu met with King Enma, who spoke through Brook, after their exchange of Otherworld souls and soul cultivation had stopped. They negotiated over renewed cooperation, but Imu rejected Enma’s initial offer and asked whether the dead could return to the Human Realm with their former abilities.

• Imu ordered Aramaki to begin turning the Moon Chamber into the Flower Chamber under Historia’s direction.
• Imu received Brook, whose body King Enma used to speak with him, in the Empty Throne Hall.
• Imu used his Haki to force Enma’s borrowed body to kneel, then released the pressure so they could negotiate.
• Enma explained that the Human Realm and Underworld depended on each other and offered to fight for Imu and handle soul-related problems in exchange for more Otherworld souls.
• Imu rejected Enma’s offer as insufficient and asked whether Enma could return the dead to the Human Realm with their former abilities.
• Enma said that returning the dead was impossible under the planet’s will, though it might be possible if that will had not yet been born or had disappeared.

After learning how the Underworld and Pure Land could send souls into the living world, Imu considered the threat of Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo’s summoning abilities and the need to prepare countermeasures. Meanwhile, the World Government expanded its research and military presence in the Zero Magic World, where Kizaru was assigned to guard a newly built base and wait for Biba Amatori’s actions.

• Imu learned from King Enma that the Underworld could summon souls under certain conditions and that Sea Star opened its gate during Wano’s Fire Festival Night.
• Imu connected Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo’s ability to summon past Kage with the danger of Impure World Reincarnation and planned to have the Five Elders develop countermeasures.
• Muzan Kibutsuji, Hange Zoë, and Dorothea prepared to study magical creatures at a Biochemical Research Institute branch on the Canberra Continent.
• The World Government built a large militarized base in the Great Forest of Albion Great Sky Island within days.

Biba Amatori’s party arrived in Romalia and learned from Pope Vittorio that Halkeginia faced destruction from growing Wind Stone disasters. Vittorio revealed that the prophecy called for opening a World Gate to Saito Hiraga’s world, leaving Biba and Saito confronting the possibility that Romalia planned to invade it.

• Biba Amatori’s party crossed Oruchia Valley and received a grand welcome in Bucharest before meeting Pope Vittorio at the Romalia Grand Cathedral.
• Bitashal told Mr. Hugh that the elves’ prophecy warned their land would be destroyed if humans gathered all the Void, and Mr. Hugh proposed seeking the Pope’s explanation and contacting the elven leadership.
• Pope Vittorio explained that Wind Stones were multiplying across Halkeginia and could make land split apart and float into the sky.
• Vittorio said Brimir’s prophecy required gathering all the Void in the Holy Land and opening a passage to another world so Halkeginia’s people could escape.
• Vittorio described preparing forces to secure territory in Saito Hiraga’s world, while King Joseph enthusiastically estimated their potential army and Saito feared an invasion.

Pope Vittorio, Biba Amatori, and their allies discussed uniting the kingdoms and finding the remaining Void Mage and Familiar. After learning more about the Elf Race and the World Gate, Biba coordinated with the World Government, which sent him a prophecy identifying every Void Mage and Familiar.

• King Joseph offered to help King Wales unite the kingdoms, while Biba Amatori told him to broaden his horizons.
• Mr. Hugh reported Bitashal’s information about the Elf Race, and Biba concluded that the wars over the Holy Land might destroy their land.
• Biba told Hugh they would support Pope Vittorio’s campaign against the Elf Race and pursue its Wind Stone veins, while also investigating the Great Will.
• The World Government informed Biba that Admiral Kizaru’s air wing and other personnel had arrived in the Valais Mountains, and Biba shared his intelligence and requested their support.
• The World Government sent Biba a prophetic list identifying the Void Mages, Void Familiars, their abilities, and their locations, including Tiffania in Westwood Village.

Imu studied reports about the Zero Magic World and recalled its hidden history, including the origins of Wind Stone, Void Magic, and the Magi Tribe. He concluded that Brimir might still influence Void users and that a god had bestowed Void power, leaving the nature of that god as a major unknown.

• Imu recognized Wind Stone as renewable energy and identified the Holy Land Elf Stone as its source and the cause of the Wind Stone Disaster.
• Imu recalled that Brimir had destroyed much of the Elf Stone with Life: Destruction, and wondered whether gathering all Void power could strengthen Life magic or enable resurrection.
• Imu suspected Brimir used Void to influence later Void users, based on Louise automatically casting spells and traveling into the past with Saito Hiraga.
• Imu concluded that the ancient army that invaded Brimir's world had likely come from another world, and that Halkeginian nobles descended from the Magi Tribe.
• Imu remembered Brimir's claim that a god had bestowed Void power and considered the God of Void the deepest mystery of the Zero Magic World.

Imu weighed which world the World Government should conquer first and authorized Kukulkan to seek a Snake-Neck wife and recruit guards. In the Zero Magic World, Biba Amatori followed orders to delay opening the World Gate while uniting the nations under Albion, then proposed relocating most humans there for the World Government’s future takeover.

• Imu chose to delay departure for the Teigu World for two days and planned to visit Heavenly Gate Sacred Island.
• Stussy told Imu that Kukulkan wanted a Snake-Neck woman, and Imu granted him leave to choose a wife and recruit fifty Snake-Neck warriors.
• Biba Amatori ordered Horobi to find Tiffania and live with her, while Levi took two Conquerors to hide near the Sahara Desert.
• Henrietta, Joseph, and Vittorio arranged for Tristain, Gallia, Germania, and Romalia to join Albion, sparking noble rebellions across the former kingdoms.
• Biba Amatori left the unrest to Wales, Joseph, and Vittorio, then asked Mr. Hugh whether most humans could be relocated to Albion.
