Legend had it that in the ancient era, even before the Evil Dragon Clan ruled the Spirit World, there had not been only Seven Great Suns in the skies of the Spirit World, but a full nine!
However, when the Human and Monster Races had first arrived in the Spirit World, a Battle of True Spirits that affected every race had erupted there.
Hundreds of beings whose cultivation rivaled that of true immortals had fought fiercely in the Spirit World for unknown reasons, slaughtering one another.
As a result, not only had eight or nine out of every ten of those true spirits perished in that terrifying shocking change, but many regions of the Spirit World had also seen mountains and seas greatly changed, with yin and yang reversed.
Even two of the nine suns had been caught up in the disaster and destroyed!
This enormous depression located at the border between the Human Race's Heavenly Origin Realm and the Southern Li Demon Land was said to have formed after one of those suns fell.
Thus, later generations of the Human and Monster Races had jointly named this depression the "Sunset Tomb."
The Sunset Tomb covered an immense area. Even a void refinement cultivator flying at full speed would need more than a year to cross it.
