"Mm."
William had no objections to the operational plan.
Mainly because he didn't understand military operations very well and couldn't offer any useful suggestions.
However, William still asked Andre, "Colonel, how many people are in that town? Are there any survivors?"
"Around two thousand. Since the Canadian army has implemented signal blocking on the town according to the signed terms, we're unsure of the exact number of survivors."
"Oh? Is that so."
After hearing the answer, William pondered for a moment, then ordered the UBCS soldiers sitting before him:
"Soldiers, any surviving civilians you encounter are to be taken into custody and classified as D-class personnel.
If there is strong resistance, you are permitted to shoot them. The events in this town must not be leaked.
We cannot let a small number of people plunge the world into panic.
Furthermore, after this incident, the dominant power will no longer be the government, but us, Umbrella.
So, everyone, remember my orders."
"Yes!" All the UBCS nodded in agreement.
Having been assimilated, their loyalty was all above ninety.
While not reaching the same level as the USS, they would still absolutely carry out William's orders.
As for Andre, who was standing nearby, he couldn't possibly have any complaints.
The old veteran was even a little relieved...
Thinking that William was finally not as dissolute as before.
After all, decisiveness in action was a basic quality a boss of a monopolistic enterprise should possess.
"Good!" William seemed very satisfied with the UBCS's response and smiled, "This time, I've brought strong reinforcements for your company. I wish you a smooth containment operation!"
"Yes! Boss!"
The UBCS company's firepower configuration is as follows;
A squad consists of six people.
Squad Leader: Responsible for command, usually a Corporal or Sergeant.
Rifleman: Carries a large number of rifle magazines.
Support Soldier: Carries a large number of rifle magazines, acting as the squad leader's deputy.
Breacher: Equipped with shotguns, submachine guns, and demolition equipment.
Machine Gunner: Light machine gun firepower unit.
Grenadier: Carries a grenade launcher on their rifle, possessing a large number of grenades.
A platoon consists of five squads, with the platoon leader holding the rank of Staff Sergeant or Second Lieutenant.
A company consists of four platoons, with the company commander holding the rank of Lieutenant or Captain.
The sky was exceptionally clear.
There were not many clouds to block the moonlight.
And in this night sky, two of Umbrella's large transport aircraft, An-124s, were flying towards a small town called Athabasca in the west.
Since the distance between Halifax City and Athabasca is about four thousand kilometers, after William and Andre finalized the operational plan...
At 11 PM on January 27, 2007, Halifax local time, two An-124 transport planes quickly took off.
Carrying one hundred and twenty UBCS and three Tyrants, they flew rapidly at an altitude of thirteen thousand meters.
Due to a three-hour time difference, the UBCS company would arrive over Athabasca at approximately 12:30 AM local time.
Inside the cabin of an An-124;
Sixty UBCS were fully equipped, wearing special helmets and gas masks hanging in front of them.
Each of them clutched their firearms, sitting in their seats.
Some had tense facial expressions, indicating their nervousness.
Others appeared indifferent, even managing to sleep soundly amidst the noisy engine sounds.
This was Umbrella's first large-scale military containment operation.
When the UBCS soldiers were recruited, they were informed that supernatural events existed in this world.
Despite their absolute loyalty to the Boss, they couldn't help but doubt whether it was true or not.
Until now, they were completely convinced.
The veterans were naturally prepared long ago, while the new recruits appeared somewhat green.
Especially in the seats at the rear of the cabin, there was a gray-skinned 'person' providing support.
This made the new recruits both scared and curious, and they even vaguely felt excited about the upcoming operation.
"Beep!"
Suddenly...
A warning light illuminated on the rear cabin door, and the pilot's voice came through the broadcast:
"All members, we have approximately three minutes until we reach our target airspace. Please prepare yourselves."
This series of events prompted the UBCS soldiers inside the cabin to rise and begin checking their equipment.
They put on gas masks and connected them to oxygen tanks, confirmed the airtightness of their suits, and checked their parachutes for any abnormalities.
The Tyrant also stood up behind the cabin door, awaiting orders.
The operation commander, who was also the captain of this UBCS company, Captain Mikhail Victor, stood at the cabin door and shouted to a group of soldiers:
"You brats! The Boss and the Colonel have entrusted the first containment operation to our company, so we absolutely cannot fail their expectations!
Most importantly!
We need to show those USS guys that we UBCS are the main force for the company's military operations!
Put those special forces in their place, do you hear me!"
"Waaah!"
Under Victor's mobilization, the soldiers' morale soared, and they all roared in response.
"Good! This is how Company A should be!" Victor laughed heartily.
"Beep!"
Immediately after, another piercing reminder sounded, and the red lights in the cabin began to dim.
Simultaneously, the rear cabin door slowly started to open.
"Whoosh!"
Due to the difference in air pressure between the inside and outside of the cabin, the airflow immediately began to swirl, and the temperature plummeted.
The previously somewhat noisy cabin fell into silence, with everyone's eyes fixed on the signal light.
After only a few seconds, the red light of the signal light extinguished, replaced by a green light.
Seeing this, Victor grabbed the handrail, gestured outward with his left hand, and shouted into his headset communicator:
"First Platoon! Get yourselves down there first!"
"Yes, Captain!"
The Tyrant also heard Victor's order. Wearing only a deceleration parachute, its massive body leaped directly out of the An-124's cabin.
Closely following were the thirty men of the First Platoon, UBCS.
In just a few dozen seconds, this An-124 completed its airdrop mission. The pilot also said with a smile over the comms:
"Lads, remember to give this flight a five-star review.
And, have a pleasant hunt."
Meanwhile.
Another An-124 completed the airdrop of another sixty UBCS and two Tyrants.
Subsequently, the two large transport planes simultaneously turned their heading and began their return flight to Troy Base in the east, leaving the airspace.
Shortly thereafter;
The UBCS company and the three Tyrants accurately dispersed on three sides of the town of Athabasca, forming a pincer formation.
Company Commander Victor was positioned on the south side of the town.
As he observed the town, he issued orders to the company via comms:
"Everyone wear night vision goggles. No one is to act alone; you must search in squads.
Second Platoon, Squad One, deploy the drone into the air so command can get a clear picture of the situation.
No one is to activate their helmet's live camera without express orders.
Remember!
If you encounter survivors, prioritize containment, with shooting as a secondary measure. Show no mercy.
Upon encountering unknown creatures, confirm if they are hostile. If they show any signs of aggression, eliminate them immediately."
"Yes, Captain."
"Proceed."
