Shield World

The platform at the very center of the ruins.

Halsey came before the spherical terminal emitting a pale-blue glow and prepared to extend her right hand to operate it.

Before her right hand could touch the terminal, however, it automatically sensed her presence and rotated.

The terminal immediately seemed to generate a powerful suction force, latching onto Halsey's right hand.

"Vrrrm!"

The reactor-like device activated. Its center flashed with dazzling blue light, and in an instant, an unusual holographic projection of technology appeared around everyone.

The projection's distribution and shape were exactly like a star map of the nearby stellar region. Stars, planets, and black holes were all marked out.

Everyone present was captivated by the fantastical sight.

Halsey, however, did not pay it much attention. After merely glancing at the star map, she continued operating the terminal.

Half a minute later.

After the star map rotated for a while, the galaxy displayed before them was a Binary Star System.

Moreover, one Earth-like Planet within that galaxy had been marked in red by the holographic device.

Only then did Halsey leave the spherical terminal. She walked over to William and looked toward Serena.

"Serena, please save all the knowledge and information contained in these ruins. Also... help us locate this galaxy."

"Yes, Doctor."

Serena nodded lightly. With Carl's assistance, she removed the chip installed within her cybernetic body.

Carl then brought Serena's chip to the terminal. Serena entered the Forerunner system and began copying all the data stored in the ruins.

At the same time.

Halsey said to William, "William, Forerunner ruins still exist on that Earth-like Planet. Those ruins will lead us to the Shield World.

"I don't yet understand what a Shield World is, but for now, what we need to do is head to that Earth-like Planet
