William stood behind the floor-to-ceiling windows at the edge of his room, both hands in his pockets as he looked down over Halifax City, the city that never slept.

Neon advertisements using all kinds of holographic technology, enormous apartment buildings standing over several hundred meters tall, and one nearby building that was an Umbrella apartment bearing the Red and White Umbrella Logo.

The ground traffic was absurdly congested, as expected. Even the aerial lanes for flying craft were gradually becoming crowded as rush hour arrived.

"Click~."

"Tap~tap~."

Just then, the door to his office was pushed open by a 'person,' followed by the sound of high heels striking the marble floor as it reached his ears.

The 'person' approaching his office was none other than Serena, who had hurried over at William's request.

Since she was not currently serving in the military or aboard the Star Killer flagship, Serena was not wearing her usual civilian military uniform. Instead, she was dressed like a professional female secretary.

And whether intentionally or not, she was wearing a black, form-fitting skirt that stopped above her knees.

Paired with flesh-colored stockings and five-centimeter heels, Serena's cybernetic body might have been an outdated model, but she still gave off the feeling of an "office secretary."

William, however, continued looking through the floor-to-ceiling windows at Halifax City, which resembled a city that never slept, seemingly paying no attention to Serena's attire.

Then.

Serena slowly walked to William's left and asked with a smile:

"Boss, is there another tiresome and annoying matter you need this Artificial Intelligence secretary of yours to handle?

"As expected, my favorite boss still loves pushing his work onto other people. Sigh."

"Heh..."
