Under the glow of the rising sun and the reflection of the solar panels, the lighthouse suspended in the air once again became dazzling.
The wasteland on the surface remained barren. A few Serpent Dogs were still frolicking with one another in the desert, along with crab-like creatures of unknown species that appeared from time to time.
At this moment, Dust Person workers had already begun their routine maintenance work in the lighthouse's suspended area.
On the streets of the city, Upper Class doctors, nurses, engineers, and other people with official identities had started with a cup of coffee in the early morning before rushing to their respective posts and entering work mode.
Everything indicated that the lighthouse had safely weathered another day in the apocalypse.
In reality, the Dust People still had no idea that City Lord Morgan had been critically ill the previous night, that Charles had launched a coup, or that Arthur had easily thwarted it all by himself.
After all, when Mark followed Heros aboard the transport aircraft to the T-69 collection site late last night, he had not made a declaration as he had in The Cage. Thus, the Dust People had no way of knowing what had happened the previous night.
The Upper Class, however, noticed that something was wrong. The previously arrogant and lawless Law Cultists had all vanished, while the number of City Defense Army soldiers responsible for security had been reduced by half.
However, to avoid unnecessary trouble, the Upper Class chose to keep silent, lest they bring disaster upon themselves.
