Background / History

The Wuji Sect was founded by seven chivalrous heroes who eradicated local bandits. It defines itself as a righteous martial sect and maintains that its members must not show mercy to those who commit evil. 342

In its earlier years, the sect was the sole Seventh-Rank Sect in Zhao Kingdom. It operated from a vast mountain domain of hundreds of peaks and enforced strict advancement standards: Outer Sect disciples had to reach the Zhen Qi Realm before age eighteen, then pass a further assessment to enter the Inner Sect. 25

Chu Yunxiao guided Lu Ming to the sect and actively recruited him after witnessing his talent. Lu Ming entered as an Outer Sect disciple, later became an Inner Sect disciple, Core Disciple, and eventually Grand Elder; his cultivation resources, victories, and reputation transformed the sect's martial inheritance and public standing. 24 25 99 166

The sect's prestige surged after Lu Ming won the Heavenly Pride Competition's Prodigy Ranking. Zhao Kingdom's aspiring cultivators increasingly chose Wuji Sect over the Nine Heavens Sect and Jade Luo Sect, while other powers began treating its rise as unavoidable. 165

Li Baiyun created the peak-stage Human-grade Flowing Cloud Sword Technique. More than eight hundred years after his disappearance, Lu Ming discovered that Li Siyuan was his descendant and returned Li Baiyun's ashes to the sect. 391 406

The sect held a formal funeral, placed his memorial tablet in the Ancestral Hall, and accepted Li Siyuan into the sect after she chose to remain there and pursue the Blood Essence path. 407
