Mikasa was jolted back to her senses by Su Yang's shout. Looking up, she saw Annie's foot already blocking out the sunlight above her, as if the sky were collapsing.
Mikasa's eyes widened in shock. She had no time to react at all.
At the critical moment, Su Yang rushed over, grabbed Mikasa, and threw himself to the side with her.
Just as Su Yang and Mikasa rolled away, Annie's enormous foot came crashing down, kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Su Yang! Mikasa!" Amir cried out in alarm, but the dust in front of him blocked his view completely. He could not see how Su Yang and Mikasa were doing at all.
