"Yang Yang is in Madrid?"
The next day, as soon as Florentino arrived at the Bernabéu, he heard a report from his general manager, Manuel Redondo, and was quite surprised.
But beyond his surprise, he was also genuinely happy.
Yang Yang was the one who had brought him to Real Madrid. He had watched Yang Yang grow from a young man barely in his twenties into the world's number-one star, and in the blink of an eye, he was already nearing retirement. That made Florentino treat Yang Yang differently from everyone else.
Now, although Yang Yang had already left, his emotional ties with Real Madrid remained. Naturally, Florentino was happy about that.
"Yes. He arrived yesterday and called to say he wanted to treat us to a meal, but he made it too obvious." Manuel Redondo could not help finding it amusing. Having spent many years at Florentino's side, he had seen all kinds of social situations and felt that Yang Yang was still a little too inexperienced.
Florentino could not help laughing as well, but he nodded repeatedly. "It wasn't easy. Yang Yang appears amiable on the surface, but deep down, he still has a certain pride. The fact that he can do this now is already quite rare."
Manuel Redondo deeply agreed. He had worked with Yang Yang for many years and naturally understood his temperament.
But then again, this was perfectly normal.
Every famous star, without exception, was a proud person. Without that pride in their hearts, they would never have reached the summit of the pyramid that was professional football. It was simply that some people displayed their pride openly, while others were more reserved. Yang Yang, Zidane, and Messi all belonged to the reserved type.
"Is he really interested in Achraf?" Florentino asked with concern.
